Marcin Ernst has more than 21 years of experience in clinical research. He started at a hospital setting, having worked as general and cardiac surgeon before moving to drug development. Then he spent 17 years in Contract Research Organizations (CROs) in various positions as well as 3 years oat Pharma experience. Majority of his career he worked on drug development in the field of Rheumatology, on different biologics (including biosimilars) and small molecules, overseeing studies, but also building drug development plans, study protocols and interacting with regulatory agencies.

Marcin has been at Syneoes Health (earlier INC Research) since 2007, leading the General Medicine Therapeutic Area since 2018. Prior to that he was Therapeutic Area Lead for Immunology and Inflammation group for over 7 years, being globally responsible for delivery of all projects in this therapeutic area. He has been responsible for a large portfolio of studies in indications like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, psoriasis and gout. He has also experience in orphan indications.
