Abigail Sidibe is a project manager at EIT Health, where she supports the Healthy Investment Central Eastern Europe (HICEE) project. This two-year initiative, funded by Horizon Europe, is dedicated to catalysing sustainable economic growth and health innovation in the CEE region. Under EIT Health’s leadership, the HICEE consortium, comprised of key regional and international partners, is delivering comprehensive training, resources, and support to startup organizations, attracting both local and international investors, and actively promoting success stories to foster ongoing cross-border collaboration. 

Abigail began her career in public health overseeing international infectious disease research at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), before going to work on the implementation of the electronic health record at U.S. hospitals in the mid-2010s. Motivated by the impact she witnessed during this healthcare transformation as a project manager, Abigail has since 2018 focused her efforts on supporting early-stage health startups and startup ecosystems in the San Francisco Bay Area, U.S., and Berlin, Germany, in developing innovative partnerships and communities. Abigail has also served as a consultant for the World Health Organization and other health agencies to provide trainings on topics at the forefront of public health.
